Useful Info:
FrankenCutters Copyright Policy
1. FrankenCutters won't reproduce copyrighted or trademarked materials without written permission. That means things like copyrighted cartoon characters, major sports team logos, corporate logos.
And if you're a bakery in Scottville (or a coppersmith in Ludington), I don't think you'll get permission in writing from a California movie studio or NFL team....
Exception: If the cutter or cakepan is being sold TO the company owning the rights to the material, then I assume the representative of the company asking for the cutter or item, is allowed to do so. For example, if an employee of a school wants a logo of their mascot, that's ok by me.
2. FrankenCutters won't reproduce cookie cutters being sold by others. Maybe their website doesn't claim all rights to the design, or maybe they do. Either way, I respect their rights to their unique shapes. So please don't email a link to someone's cookie cutter and ask me to reproduce it. I won't do that. Of course, some shapes, like a football, a 5-point star, a dogbone, are pretty generic, and I feel we all have the right to make dogbones, for instance.
AND IN THE OTHER DIRECTION:
3. If you have created a unique design of your own, and wish to keep it proprietary, FrankenCutters will respect your right to your design. If you email me a set of baby shower designs, for instance, FrankenCutters will not sell that set of shapes to anyone else. without your permission.
Basically, we respect the copyrights and trademarks of others, and we respect your intellectual property as well.
